Javelina Hall of Fame
W.L. “Dub” Harbin is a charter member of the Javelina Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 1972.
He received a general business degree in 1933. He played high school football at Cleburne.
Harbin was an all-conference performer in football and co-captain of the 1931 and 1932 teams. He was also a sprinter on the track team.
Harbin served as president and vice president of the “T” Association and was president of his senior class. He was vice president of the junior class, and was a member of the Glee Club, the Aggie Club and Lambda Chi fraternity.
Now retired from Humble Oil, Harbin lives in Austin. He is married to the former Frances Stephenson, who received a master’s degree from A&I.
