Javelina Hall of Fame
The 1994 Javelina football team was NCAA Division II national runner-up and had a 12-2 record, and was undefeated in Lone Star Conference play.
Ron Harms, Javelina Hall of Fame member, was head coach of the team and the assistant coaches were Juan Castillo, offensive line; Richard Cundiff, 1994 Football Team to Be Inducted linebackers; Jim Dawson, secondary; Don Pittman, offensive backs; Chris Ballard, receivers; Rod Mounts, tight ends; Tally Neal, defensive line; James Bryant, linebackers, and Keithen DeGrate, offensive line. Additionally, Harms was named the LSC coach of the year.
Kevin Dogins was on the NCAA Division II All-America first team, American Football Quarterly All-American first team and C.M. Frank All-America first team. He was the LSC's outstanding lineman of the year. Jaime Martinez was on the Football Gazette All-America first team and NCAA DII All-America second unit. Jeff Rodgers made the American Football Coaches Association All-American first team, NCAA DII All-America first unit, Football Gazette All-America first team and C.M. Frank All-America first team.
