Javelina Hall of Fame
Murdy was a member of the 2004 Javelina baseball team that won the Lone Star Conference tournament.
In individual accolades, Murdy was named the Rawlings-ABCA National Player of the Year, NCAA Division II first-team All American, Rawlings/ABCA All-American, Player of the Year in the region, LSC South player of the year, and LSC Tournament MVP.
Additionally, he was named to the Javelina team of the decade for the 2000s. In 2004, Murdy had a 14-1 (.933) record and had nine complete games. His winning percentage and number of victories are school records. He pitched 115.0 innings, a school record, and had 158 strikeouts, also a school record.
