Javelina Hall of Fame
Ken Grimes was All-Alamo Conference in football in 1937, 1938 and 1939 and was captain of the basketball squad in 1938-39. He served as president of the “T” Association and was a member of the Athletic Council. He was inducted into the Javelina Hall of Fame in 1973.
He was president of the Student Council in 1940 and was a member of the organization for three years; he was vice president of the High School Student Teachers Association and a member of the BBA Club and Kappa Sigma Nu.
He received his bachelor’ degree in business administration in 1940 and is senior vice president of the First Bank and Trust in Bryan.
Grimes is married to the former Eloise Taylor of Raymondville and is the father of a son and daughter.
