Javelina Hall of Fame
Foley was a two-year letterman on the Javelina baseball program (1998-99) and holds the school’s career record in hitting (.427) and ranks second in home runs (24), on-base percentage (.48) and total bases (267). In just two seasons, he scored 129 runs (fourth most), drove in 96 (fifth most) and tallied 157 hits (tied for sixth most). His 1998 season was a historic one as Foley set six offensive records that still hold today – batting average (.479), on-base percentage (.553), home runs (15), hits (102), runs scored (85) and total bases (171). His 57 RBI, .803 slugging percentage and 1.356 OPS were second best in a single season. Adding to his sensational debut campaign in a Javelina uniform, he set two game marks and finished as a 1998 NCAA Division II First Team All-American, First Team All-South Central Region and First Team All-LSC South while also appearing on the South Central Region All-Tournament Team and Lone Star Conference All-Tournament Team. He earned back-to-back conference accolades as a First Team All-LSC South honoree in 1999. After exhausting eligibility, he was an assistant on the club for one season before playing pro ball from 2000-04.
