Already inducted into the Javelina Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of the 1986 women’s cross country team, Ratkovic was a one-woman wrecking crew with one of the conference’s all-time best performances by a student-athlete when she won the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 meter runs at the 1987 LSC Tournament. She holds the school’s outdoor records in the 5,000 (17:26.83 in 1987) and 10,000 (35:59.79 in 1987) meter runs and has the second fastest time in the 1,500 (4:37.13 in 1987). He set the school’s indoor mark in the mile run with a time of 5:15.30. With a time of 17:55 in the 5-kilometer run at the 1986 LSC Cross Country Championships, Ratkovic led the Javelinas to a conference title with the individual championship.
Following her career for the Javelinas, she transferred to the University of Oklahoma once the Javelina track and field program was dropped. While there, she set and still holds the OU indoor mile run mark. Following her collegiate career, she competed in marathons and duathlons and was a national champion in the duathlon.
