Javelina Hall of Fame
Kristin Ciborowski Ballard, from Yoakum, was a four-year letter winner in basketball and a member of the Javelina track and field squad. She was inducted into the Javelina Hall of Fame in 2005.
She holds the school record for most points scored in a game with 46 against Texas A&M-Commerce in 1996-97. She also had a 31-point game the same year against Angelo State.
Her career field goal percentage of .518 is also a school record as well as her single-game mark of 18 free throws made. Her 329 free throws made in a career continues as a school record.
Ballard had 548 points her senior year and that ranks third on the Javelina single-season scoring chart.
She was All-Lone Star Conference athletically and academically.
Ballard was on the Javelina 1600-meter relay team that won the gold medal at the 1998 Lone Star Conference Championships.
She received a business administration degree from TAMUK and was a sales representative for Pacific Broadcasting for a year. She has been the senior sales representative for TAP Pharmaceuticals since June 2000.
Ballard is a three-time recipient of the TAP Excalibur Guild Award that honors an employee for sales results.
She is married to former Javelina football coach Chris Ballard and they are the parents of a daughter, Kierstyn, and a son, Cole.
They reside in Tomball.
