Javelina Hall of Fame
Serving as Head Coach for Javelina basketball from 2014-2023, Estelle guided Texas A&M-Kingsville men's basketball to four NCAA Division II tournament appearances. Overall, Estelle finished with a 137-116 record with the Javelinas and an 83.3 percent win-rate, the most in Javelina men's basketball history.
Perhaps the biggest moment of Estelle's time with the Javelinas came during the 2017 NCAA Division II tournament when the Javelinas took home their first ever tournament victory in a 74-71 thriller against University of Texas Permian Basin on a last second buzzer-beater.
Estelle also spent a portion of his playing career with the Javelinas, suiting up from 1994-1996. During his final season with Texas A&M-Kingsville, Estelle averaged 16.0 points per game and notched a school record 88 steals while leading the Javelinas to a record 23-win season.
His biggest moment that season came when the Javelinas most needed it, exploding for a school record nine 3-pointers in the LSC tournament championship game against Central Oklahoma and was named the tournament's most valuable player.
Estelle finished his career with 742 points, 214 rebounds, 211 assists and 138 steals and was a second team all-conference selection for the Lone Star Conference during the 1995-1996 season. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A&M-Kingsville and currently is the Associate Head Coach at University of North Texas
