LAKELAND, Fla. (Tennis) – No. 43 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-11) led 2-1 after doubles action but rain postponed the remainder of the match between the Javelinas and Southern New Hampshire University (11-6) Saturday morning at the Wynne Warden Tennis Center.

Mariaxi Herrera and
Erika Larrea breezed to an 8-0 victory in doubles No. 2 and
Madi Gomez and
Marija Dimitrovska took doubles No. 3, 8-5. In singles play, Herrera led over Ashley Loft (No. 20 in East region) in singles No. 1, 6-3 and Dimitrovska,
Paula Saenz, Larrea and Gomez led in their respective flights prior to the match being suspended.

The Javelinas take the rest of the week off before returning to the Bishop High School Tennis Courts for back-to-back matches. Texas A&M-Kingsville hosts Laredo Community College March 25 before its first Lone Star Conference match, an April 15 bout versus Cameron University.
