Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville tennis coach
Autumn Williams has been named the new women's tennis coach at Bowling Green University.
Williams spent 12 seasons with the Javelinas after being hired as the program's second head coach, racking up 174 wins and nine Lone Star Conference Tournament appearances. She was named the 2015 LSC Coach of the Year after the Javelinas finished second in the LSc standings. Coach Williams reached the NCAA Tournament once in her career during the 2021 season.
Williams coached 40 all-conference selections in her tenure with the Javelinas, highlighted by
Alessa Maier, who was named the program's first all-American selection in the 2023 season after finishing the year 17-2 in singles play. Maier was also named the ITA's D2 most improved player.
A national search for a new head coach will commence immediately.
