TAMPA, Fla. (Tennis) – No. 43 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-10) finished singles play against the University of Tampa (6-2) 3-3 but fall in a tight 4-5 match at the Naimoli Young Family Tennis Complex.
Madi Gomez and
Marija Dimitrosvska defeated Cameron Moskol and Gianna Pinasco 8-5 in the final doubles match for the Javelinas first win.
Mariaxi Herrera, Dimitrovska, and
Paula Saenz won in straight sets taking singles flights No.1, 2, and 4.
Herrera topped Kristen Mee in flight No. 1 7-5, 6-4, Dimitrovska routed Emily Hewland 6-1, 6-2 in No. 2, and Saenz picked up the Hogs third singles win in flight No. 4 with a 6-3, 7-5 final.
TAMUK gets a day of rest before squaring off against Southern New Hampshire on March 19
th in Lakeland, Fla. at 11 a.m. The Penmen are ranked #7 in latest East regional rankings.
