BRADENTON, Fla. (Tennis) – No. 43 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-7) heads to the Sunshine State for the second consecutive season for five matches, beginning with No. 18 Northeastern State University (4-2) March 15 at 9 a.m. CT and No. 4 State College of Florida (4-2) at 2 p.m. CT at the SCF Tennis Courts on the campus of the Manatees.

The Javelinas continue the road trip with Division II bouts versus No. 27 Rollins College (4-3) March 16 at 3 p.m. CT at the Bert W. Martin Tennis Complex in Winter Park, Fla., followed by the University of Tampa (5-2) March 17 at 2 p.m. CT at Naimoli and Young Family Tennis Complex before concluding the Florida road trip versus Florida Southern College (5-3), a team the Javelinas nearly defeated earlier this season, March 19 at 2 p.m.

Mariaxi Herrera, ranked No. 10 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Central Region in singles and No. 10 in doubles along with
Marija Dimitrovska, is 8-3 in singles No. 1 this spring and enters Tuesday with a four-match win streak.
Erika Larrea also has a four-match win streak and is 6-4 in the spring, with
Madi Gomez and Dimitrovska also posting six singles wins.
Paula Saenz and
Nadia Grlj have won each of their last two singles flights.

In doubles play, Herrera and Dimitrovska are 4-5, while Herrera and Larrea are 2-0, Grlj and Saenz is 2-0 and Dimitrovska and Gomez are 2-0.

Kingsville has won its last two matches 9-0, including a win over No. 13 North Central Texas College.

About the RiverhawksNortheastern State is ranked No. 18 nationally and No. 2 in the Central region. The Riverhawks went 20-6 in the spring last season and a perfect 10-0 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) en route to appearing in the NCAA Round of 16. They are coming off back-to-back loss this season to No. 1 (NAIA) Auburn University Montgomery and No. 3 Saint Leo University. Patricia Husakova has an overall 11-5 record for the Riverhawks and is a perfect 6-0 in spring competition. She is ranked No. 30 nationally and No. 3 in the Central region in singles play, while she and Molly Worden are No. 21 nationally in doubles. Worden is 10-6 overall and 4-2 in the spring and ranks No. 46 in Division II and No. 4 regionally. Daria Panferova, 10-3 overall and 3-3 in the spring is No. 11 in the Central region.

About the ManateesState College of Florida is 4-2 in the spring and hold a No. 4 national ranking in the ITA JUCO poll. Iulia Sergheena is No. 4 nationally in singles and No. 2 in the ITA Region IV rankings and teams with Maria Medina for a No. 6 doubles national ranking and No. 4 regionally. Medina is ninth in the country and fourth in the region. Maria Zubkova (No. 25 in the country and No. 11 in region) and Casey O'Toole (No. No. 40 nationally and No. 17 in region) round out the national rankings in the country and the duo hold the No. 12 spot in the national doubles poll and No. 6 in the region.

Savanna Fuller is a perfect 7-0 in singles play this season with six wins coming in flight No. 5. Shannon Etten and Fabiana Vitanza are 5-1 in singles No. 1 and No. 6, respectively, and Teresa Kaiser is 5-2. In doubles action, Carli Davis and Etten are 4-3 in doubles No. 1 as are Kaiser and Johanna Olsson in No. 2. Carlye Goldman and Zoe Monge are 3-0 in doubles No. 3 and Vitanza and Emma Wookey are 2-0 in doubles No. 3.

Earlier this season, the Mocs defeated the Javelinas, 5-4, in a match that featured singles wins for Herrera (No. 1), Saenz (No. 4), Larrea (No. 5) and Gomez (No. 6). Natalija Popovic is 7-1 with a 5-0 mark in singles No. 4, Lorena Rionda is 6-2 and Selin Devrimci is 5-2.
