Kingsville - Led by junior
Guadalupe Tocci, who won the Lone Star Conference's Newcomer of the Year award, the Texas A&M - Kingsville women's tennis team stuffed the conference's postseason awards list.
In her first year as a Javelina after transferring from Jones College, Tocci dominated. She finished with a 12-6 record in singles play, and went 8-4 in the No.1 singles spot. In addition to her 5-4 LSC record in doubles play, her 5-5 record in LSC singles play helped her earn the NOTY award as well as being named an Honorable Mention to the LSC singles team. As if that wasn't enough, Tocci also made the All-LSC Academic Team, an exclusive team with just six members.
She was far from the only Javelina to make an all-Conference team, however, as graduate student
Luna Jokanovic and junior
Kaitlin Blount combined to make the all-LSC Doubles Second Team. Together, Jokanovic and Blount went an outstanding 7-3 in doubles play during their LSC matches, primarily playing on the No.3 doubles court.Â
Joining Tocci on the Honorable Mention list for the LSC singles team were Jokanovic and senior
Manuela Turolo. Jokanovic finished her season 8-3 in singles play while playing in the No.2 spot, and 5-4 in LSC singles play. Turolo's final year in the blue and gold saw her go 5-5 in her LSC singles match, most of which came while playing in the No.5 spot.

Annika Andersson Gomez rounded out TAMUK's contributions to the conference's postseason awards as she was named to the LSC Sportsmanship team. Athletes were picked to the team for exemplifying  "outstanding sportsmanship, character and ethical conduct while displaying the true spirit of competition and college tennis."
