Javelina Family,
It has been extremely busy and our Spring Sports are in full swing. Our Javelinas have given us a lot to be proud of over this past month, both on and off the field of play.
Chief among their many achievements was senior track and field athlete
Vitiana Robert, who, in addition to the All-American plaque for her work in the women's 4x400m relay, senior
Vitiana Robert also brought home the NCAA's Elite 90 Award from the 2025 NCAA Indoor T&F National Championships, which is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships. She is the first Javelina to ever win the Elite 90 award.

Track and Field:
Wrapping up their indoor seasons at the 2025 NCAA Indoor National Championships, 16 Javelinas produced 10 All-American performances. Five individuals, junior
Madison Ramos and seniors Katryna Hernadez, and
Cynai Christopher on the women's side and seniors
Thomas Nieto and
Ronald Grueso Mosquera on the men's side, came home from Indianapolis as first-team All-Americans, while three, graduate students
Madison Alegria and
Jazmin Ray on the women's side and junior
Django Segovia on the men's put on second-team All-American performances. Ramos' 1.75m-clearing jump in the women's high jump is a new school record.
Since the beginning of the outdoor season, the teams have continued to excel. Less than a month into the season, the Javelinas have broken multiple school records and currently have a top-10 score in the nation in eight different events - four on the women's side and four on the men's.
The teams will host their first and only home meet on the year this Saturday at Javelina Stadium. The 2025 Cactus Cup will begin its field events at 11 a.m. and its track (running) events at 3:30 p.m..
STUNT:
The Javelina STUNT team completed its first season in program history in incredible fashion. It closed its regular season with a game against conference foe St. Edward's, a contest that doubled as both its regular season finale and its home opener - the team took down the Hilltoppers, 11-6, its fourth win of the year.
Two weeks later, the Javelinas got their first postseason win in their program's history, crushing the Hilltoppers, 20-3, to secure a bid to the LSC Tournament's second round. They fell in the double-elimination tournament to Dallas Baptist and Texas Woman's to end their season.
Football:
Javelina Football is underway with their spring training and have fully fleshed out the coaching staff for the 2025 season. Joining new Head Coach
Scott Parr is Offensive Coordinator
Bradley Wilson, Receivers Coach
Dodge Delozier, Running Backs Coach
Patrick Morris, Defensive Line Coach
Kendall Coleman and Safeties Coach/Special Teams Coordinator
Keith Scott.
Jamison Bisch,

Manny Martinez will all be returning for the Javelinas in their respective positions.
The Javelinas will wrap up their 2025 spring schedule with the spring game on Wednesday, April 16th, at 7:20 pm at Javelina Stadium. Fans will be able to watch the Javelinas with free admission to Javelina Stadium.
Softball:
The Javelinas have struggled over the last month, going 4-12, and are now 19-24 overall with a 14-18 record in the LSC play. Despite those struggles, the team remains just two games out of a spot in the eight-team LSC tournament with 12 games remaining on its schedule.
They have been fueled by, defensively, the prowess of freshman RHP
Arianna Alaniz, who leads the LSC, and ranks sixth in all of D2, in strikeouts with 164. She also ranks top-10 in the LSC in wins and opponent batting average. Offensively, it has been graduate student outfielder
Lindsey Evans who has led the team, as her .434 batting average ranks eighth in the LSC. Her 29 walks are tied for second-most in the conference and her slugging percentage is the ninth-best. She was named to the NFCA D2 Player of the Year Watchlist. The team heads on the road this weekend to face off with Cameron and No.19 Oklahoma Christian in a pair of key doubleheaders.
Baseball:
Heading into the final stretch of the season, Texas A&M-Kingsville got a much needed sweep over Texas A&M-International in their most recent series. The series win comes after the Hogs dropped two straight series to Lubbock Christian University and top-ranked Angelo State. This past weekend's series was not without drama however, as it took a pair of saves from
Ulises Quiroga and a complete-game shutout from
Tyler Schumann to get the series win. Quiroga would also earn a win this weekend in a wild, 12-inning finish that saw
Nick Reyes drive in the game-winning runs with a bases-clearing double.
For his efforts in the series, Schumann was named the Lone Star Conference and NCBWA South-Central Region pitcher of the week. Schumann joined Quiroga as Javelinas to receive this award, as he hopes to recieve the NCBWA's national pitcher of the week award.
After their bye week, the Javelinas will welcome nationally-ranked St. Edward's University to Nolan Ryan Field for the final homestead of the season before traveling up to Canyon to face West Texas A&M in the regular season finale.
Beach Volleyball:
With two tournaments to go, the Javelinas currently sit just two wins away from tying a program record in total wins in a season with 20. Texas A&M-Kingsville will now travel to Conaway, Arkansas, for the UCA Invitational hosted by the University of Central Arkansas. There, the Javelinas face off against Hendrix College, whom they hold a 1-0 record against this season. They will also face off against another pair of Division I schools in UCA and UT-Martin, the latter being the first time the two teams have faced off against each other in either program's history.
Women's Golf:
Texas A&M-Kingsville is close to closing out the 2024-25 season, wrapping up their Arizona tour with a pair of tournaments in the Grand Canyon State. The Javelinas competed in the West Texas Desert Invite and the RGJA Women's Palm Valley Classic hosted by Western New Mexico University. The Javelinas will now have a couple of weeks off before heading to Thackerville, Oklahoma, for the Lone Star Conference championships.
Women's Tennis:
The Javelinas have gone 2-2 in conference play in the last month, including a 4-3 upset win over No.23 Dallas Baptist in their home opener. They currently rank sixth in the messy LSC standings (top six teams make it to the conference tournament), with a pair of key home conference matchups set for this weekend.
Kingsville will host No.19 Lubbock Christian on Thursday at noon before they take on UT - Permian Basin on Saturday at 11 a.m.. Saturday's match will also serve as Senior Day for the team as it celebrates its two graduating seniors,
Luna Jokanovic from Perth, Australia, and
