Tyler - Texas A&M-Kingsville returns to Tyler, Texas, for a rematch against No. seed UT-Tyler in the LSC Conference Tournament at Irwin Field.

In a best-of-three series, the Javelinas and Patriots will square off for the second time this season with a chance to advance to San Angelo for the second round of the LSC tournament. Previously, UT-Tyler was able to handle the Hogs at Irwin field with a 4-0 series win. Despite this, the final two games of the series came down to just two runs each.

Round one for the Javelinas will be as tough of a battle as the Javelinas have faced all season, as the Patriots currently hold an LSC-best 14-game win streak. The last loss UT-Tyler suffered was Mar. 29 in a 0-1 upset loss to UT-Permian Basin.

Both teams have had dominant pitching staffs this season, as both teams are in the top four in ERA, strikeouts and opponent batting average. The Javelinas and Patriots also sit atop the conference in home runs given up, with 27 and 28 given up respectively.

The bats for the Hogs got a huge boost this past weekend at West Texas A&M with the return of Elijia West. The transfer from Frank Phillips College drilled a pair of home runs and plated a total of seven runs in his return to the lineup since March 16.

Game one of this weekend's series is set for a 7:00 pm first pitch. Fans of the Javelinas can watch live on FloCollege or follow the game at JavelinaBSB on Twitter.
