PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Sophomore Reanna De La Cruz (Austin, Texas) picked up her third top 10 finish of the spring, highlighting a fifth-place showing by the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team at the PGA Minority Collegiate Championships, which finished on Sunday at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
De La Cruz was just a single shot over par on Sunday, with birdies on the first and sixth making up for a double bogey on the second. Her only other blemish was a bogey on the fifth. That final day 37 put her 16 over through 54 holes and tied De La Cruz for eighth.
Freshmen Madison Lake and Abigail Willcoxon shared 20th with one other competitor. Lake carded a six-over 42 on the final day while Willcoxon did her one better with a five-over 41. For Willcoxon, this marks her third top 20 finish this season and the second for Lake.
