Amarillo - After having a top-five finish at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella the Texas A&M-Kingsville Women's Golf team went to Amarillo, TX, to compete in the West Texas A&M Fall Invite.

Through day one the Javelinas finished in 12th place with a score of +44 across the two rounds. The Javelinas are currently sitting 1 stroke behind Western New Mexico and 8 strokes ahead of Garden City Community College.

Mekdes Rozas started the day hot shooting -1 through round one. That would tie her career low that she shot back on April 9, 2024. She would also find herself as the one of only six players to score an eagle on any hole of both rounds. She kept momentum rolling into round two shooting just +5. With that round she would find herself tied for 19th heading into day two with a score of +4.

Zoe Dean shot a decent round one staying under par for the majority of the round, Dean finished +7 through the first 18. In round two she would shoot +8 to close out her day +15 and sit tied for 49th heading into day two.
