Waikoloa, HI - Viviana Farias finished top-ten individually for the second time in a row. Meanwhile, the Javelinas finished tied for 5th as a team at the Dennis Rose Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii-Hilo.
The team finished 5th out of the nine teams that participated in the tournament. Overall, for the tournament, the team shot +85 through two rounds. Farias would finish 9th in the tournament, shooting +8 both rounds for a +16 finish to the tournament. It would be her second straight top-ten finish for the Javelinas.
Zoe Dean would sit nine spots back, tied for 18th, going +20 in the tournament. Dean shot a team-best 76 on day one, putting her tied for 9th going into day two. Mekdes Rozas would finish tied for 25th, shooting a 78 and 85 over the two rounds. Her 78 in round one had her tied with fellow teammate Viviana Farias going into day two.
Jamie Miller and Mia Scrimgeour wouldn't finish too far behind. Miller would shoot +26 for the tournament, setting her tied for 31st in the tournament, and Scrimgeour finished +33 and tied for 41st.
Texas A&M-Kingsville heads to Aiea, Hawaii, to participate in the HPU Southwest Airlines Sharks Shootout hosted by Hawaii Pacific University.
