Javelinas Looks for Conference Win Over the Mustangs

The Javelinas play one of their two remaining LSC matches Friday, April 7 against Western New Mexico

KINGSVILLE, Texas (Tennis) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (11-7, 1-2 LSC) will have a light week with one dual match against Western New Mexico (3-13, 0-1 LSC) on the new Javelina Tennis Courts at 10 a.m. on April 7.

Texas A&M-Kingsville is 7-2 in its last nine matches heading into their fourth conference match this season. Erika Larrea paces the teams with an eight-match winning streak and is 10-2 this spring. Julia Rauer and Victoria Romanovskaia each share ten wins in singles play as well and Romanovskaia who has a team-best three wins against nationally ranked opponents. 

Western New Mexico is 0-1 in the LSC after falling to UT Permian Basin 6-3 at the UTPB Shootout in February. The Mustangs have dropped their last five matches and are 1-8 on the road this year.
