LAWTON, Okla. (Tennis) – They threatened and nearly upset No. 35 Cameron University (14-7) in the Lone Star Conference Semifinals but Texas A&M University-Kingsville (13-11) concluded its season with a 5-3 heartbreaking loss Friday at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.

Marija Dimitrovska defeated Paula Gutierrez and Angie Torres, 8-5, in doubles No. 1.
Paula Saenz and
Erika Larrea followed with a 9-7 win in doubles No. 2 and
Nadia Grlj and
Martina Urrutia-Achleitner clinched the doubles sweep with a 8-4 win in their first doubles match as a tandem in doubles No. 3.

However, the Aggies rallied from behind to take five singles flights as the best season in school history came to a close. TAMUK finished 13-11 and four singles players earned double digit wins and all three doubles teams surpassed the 10-win plateau.

CU advances to the LSC championships to take on No. 17 Midwestern State.
