2014-15 (R-So.): Went 16-7 overall in singles, 13-6 in the spring and 12-12 in doubles (11-11 in the spring)… 12-4 mark in singles No. 4… 4-4 in doubles No. 1 and 7-7 in doubles No. 3 with three straight wins to end season with Erika Larrea… began season with a 6-3, 6-1 win and 3-1 overall mark in singles play at the Midwestern State Invitational (Sept. 19-20)… teamed with Larrea for win in fall… seven-match singles win streak from March 7-20 with wins over four nationally-ranked programs… extended streak to 11 singles wins in 12 matches, including wins over in-region and No. 13 St. Mary’s University (March 29) and No. 35 Cameron (April 3)… 9-7 doubles No. 3 victory in the Lone Star Conference Championship at No. 35 CU (April 24).
 
2013-14 (So.): Did not compete.
 
2012-13 (Fr.): Went 2-1 in the fall, advancing to the championships of flight ‘C’ at the third annual Doc Skogman Invitational at Texas Lutheran (Oct. 5-6)… defeated Jessica Perez of Our Lady of the Lake, 6-4, 6-0, in the quarterfinals and Samantha Siegel of St. Edward’s, 6-2, 6-0, to take on Christine Gwodog of Prairie View A&M… teamed with Tabata Lua to defeat St. Mary’s, 8-5, and North Central Texas, 8-2, to finish second in the ‘B’ doubles bracket of the invitational… did not see action in the spring.
 
High School: Two-sport athlete at Cathedral High School in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada… earned four letters in tennis and soccer for the Gaels… OFSSA finalist in singles and doubles.
 
Club: Played for Rosedale Tennis Club in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for four years.
 
Personal: Born July 12… full name is Paula Alejandra Saenz Riano… daughter of Edgar Hernan Saenz Barragan and Yolanda Riano… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because of its excellent pre-vet program and the opportunity to pursue a masters at the university… admires her mother because she is the most hard working and independent woman who seeks the best for her… majoring in animal science.
