LAWTON, Okla. (Tennis) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (10-10, 0-1 LSC) heads to the Sooner State to battle No. 35 Cameron University (9-4) on April 3 at 10 a.m. at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex. Following the Lone Star Conference match, the Javelinas step away from conference action to take on Southern Nazarene University (2-5) on Saturday at 9 a.m. in Bethany, Okla.

The Javelinas are 10-10 on the season and rank No. 8 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Central Region. The Aggies sit at No. 3 in the region and No. 35 nationally after three consecutive wins over regional opponents (Metro State, Colorado Mesa and CSU-Pueblo). The Crimson Storm rank No. 7 in the Central Region and Masha Adrianova (5-2 in singles No. 1) is No. 6 in the region. Adrianova and Natalia Moreno are 4-3 in doubles action and also appear on the doubles regional rankings.

For CU, Paula Gutierrez is 7-5 in singles No. 1 and sits at No. 7 in the region, followed by Angie Torres at No. 8 (8-5). Also ranked on the singles regional charts is Samantha Wood. Gutierrez and Eugenia Sanchez are No. 5 in doubles at 5-5 in No. 1.

Mariaxi Herrera sits at No. 11 in singles with an 11-6 record.
Erika Larrea and
Paula Saenz also have 11 wins on the season and
Marija Dimitrovska is 9-8 on the year. The tandem of Herrera and Dimitrovska (No. 8 in regional rankings) boast a win-loss record of 12-8, including a win over a nationally-ranked duo and two wins versus regionally-ranked opponents.
