BISHOP, Texas (Tennis) – The 2014-15 regular season finale is here and Texas A&M University-Kingsville (12-10, 1-1 LSC) hosts conference rival Tarleton State University (6-7, 0-2 LSC) on April 18 at 1 p.m. at the Bishop High School Tennis Courts.

The match was originally scheduled for Friday, April 17, but inclement weather in the South Texas area has not cooperated.

The Hogs are coming off back-to-back wins over nationally-ranked Cameron University and regionally-ranked Southern Nazarene University.

Ranked No. 8 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Central Region,
Mariaxi Herrera is ranked No. 11 in singles with an 11-8 overall record in singles No. 1 and she and
Marija Dimitrovska are 13-9 in doubles No. 1 (duo is ranked No. 8 in region). On the year,
Erika Larrea is 13-4, tied for the most wins on the team with
Paula Saenz. Dimitrovska is 10-9 overall giving the Javelinas four student-athletes in double figures.

In doubles action,
Nadia Grlj and
Tabata Lua are 10-11 and Larrea and Saenz have nine wins.

For TSU, Luiza Ferraro-Adas is 9-2 in singles play and Ashleigh Elward follows at 8-4. The tandem of Ariadna Cabezas-Mart and Erika Richarme is 10-2 in doubles this season with nine wins coming in No. 3. Richarme is 6-6 in 2015 and enters the weekend ranked No. 16 in the South Central region. Â

Following Saturday's match, both teams head to Lawton, Okla. for the 2015 LSC Championships hosted by Cameron.
