LAKELAND, Fla. (Tennis) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (7-6) travels to the Sunshine State for five matches in four days, beginning on March 17 at 2 p.m. CT at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center versus No. T-45 Florida Southern College (2-6). The trip will be no tough task as the Javelinas have three nationally-ranked opponents and one undefeated team on tap.

Following Tuesday's match, the Javelinas take on undefeated State University of New York at Geneseo (10-0) at 9 a.m. CT on at the Naimoli and Young Family Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Tampa. Five hours later, the Hogs hit the courts against No. T-45 Tampa (5-5). On Wednesday, the Hogs head to Bradenton, Fla. to take on No. 3 State College of Florida (9-1) at 1 p.m. CT. Thursday's 9 a.m. slate will take place on the Bert W. Martin Tennis Complex in Winter Park, Fla. versus Bluefield State College, who entered Monday's match at Florida Tech with a 4-5 record.

Mariaxi Herrera is 9-3 in singles No. 1 and 8-2 in her last 10 singles matches and Herrera and
Marija Dimitrovska are 9-4 in doubles No. 1.
Erika Larrea is 8-1 overall in singles play and Dimitrovska and
Paula Saenz are 6-4. The duo of
Nadia Grlj and
Tabata Lua are 6-6 on the year.

Scouting the MoccasinsThe nationally-ranked Mocs are 2-6 in the loaded Sunshine State Conference. FSC began the spring season ranked No. 10 in the nation after a tremendous 2014 season. Magda Riutort is 7-1 in singles No. 1 and 6-0 in her last six matches.

Florida Southern is in the midst of a three-game skid after falling to No. 27 Wayne State 5-4 (March 14), Ferris State 6-3 (March 12) and Young Harris 5-4 (March 11).

Scouting the KnightsSUNY Geneseo is an NCAA Division III institution in upstate New York. The Knights will begin their spring season on March 17 with two matches after going 10-0 in the fall. Cat Crummey went 15-3 in singles play, Marylen Santos went 13-3, Mai Hashimoto is 15-1 and Amanda Rosati is 11-3. The club earned their fourth consecutive State University of New York Athletic Conference championship in the fall and head coach Jim Chen was named the SUNYAC Coach of the Year.

Scouting the SpartansTampa is 5-5 on the year and 0-3 in SSC play, competing in arguably the toughest tennis conference in NCAA Division II (Florida Southern, Tampa, Lynn, Barry, Saint Leo, Rollins, Nova Southeastern and Florida Tech are all ranked nationally). The Spartans are on a four-match win streak and Kelsey Matthews and Jenelle Morgan have seven singles wins in the spring. The Matthews and Kristen Mee tandem is 4-1 in doubles No. 1.

Scouting the ManateesThe State College of Florida ranks No. 3 in the ITA Junior College rankings. Natella Nabieva, Miranda Talbert, Mikala Lowrance and Amenia Houston rank No. 4, No. 19, No. 30 and No. 42 nationally and Nabieva and Talbert are No. 15 in doubles. Also ranked in the top 25 in doubles is the duo of Houston and Lowrance (No. 23).

Scouting the Lady BluesBluefield State is 4-5 this season and took on Florida Tech on Monday, March 16 in Melbourne, Fla. Thursday's match will take place on the campus of Rollins College.
