Chennault Cup Battle Hits the TV Screen

Javelinas, Lions battle will be televised live on KDF-TV, Dish Network, New Wave Communications, Grande Communications and Time Warner Cable on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m.

KINGSVILLE, Texas (Football) – The annual battle for the Chennault Cup will be televised live on KDF-TV, Dish Network, Grande Communications, New Wave Communications and Time Warner Cable as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1-1) takes on Texas A&M-Commerce (1-1) at 10:03 a.m. The Javelinas and Lions kick off the 2014 Lone Star Conference Football Festival at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
 
The Javelinas are coming off a 17-14 win over Colorado Mesa University (1-1) and hold the edge all-time against the Lions, 37-23-1. National Football League veteran Charly Martin and Steven Strain will have the call, and live stats can be accessed by visiting the football schedule page on JavelinaAthletics.com, the official home of Texas A&M-Kingsville athletics.
 
Javelina Showtime brought to you by Mike Shaw Automotive will air on Friday, Sept. 19 at 9:30 p.m. CT because of the early start time Saturday. Joining head coach David Calloway are TAMUK Hall of Famer Fred Nuesch, defensive lines assistant coach Zane Brown and linebackers assistant coach Tressor Bapiste.
