Portales, NM – Texas A&M-Kingsville hits the road for the final game of the 2025 regular season as it takes on Eastern New Mexico from Al Whitehead Field at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium on Saturday.
The Javelinas (4-6. 3-5 LSC) are looking to end the season with some positive momentum after blasting Western New Mexico, 64-13, last week for the final home game of their season. The Greyhounds (3-7, 3-5 LSC) are looking to do much the same after dropping last week's game, 34-47, to nationally ranked UTPB.
Saturday's contest will be a clash of styles from the opposing squads, as the air-raid, fast-paced offense of the Javelinas takes on the ground-and-pound style of the Greyhounds. Texas A&M-Kingsville, with the second-leading passer in the LSC
Jack Turner, take on an ENMU team that leads the conference in rushing yards per game with 310.
The passing attack for the Javelinas has been the best statistical passing offense the Javelinas have featured, as Turner set the all-time mark for single season passing yards as well as becoming the first QB to ever pass for 3,000 yards in a single season in program history.
King Phillips also became a record holder for Javelina Football, setting a new high mark for receptions in a single season with 68.
Eastern New Mexico's ground game has been equally historic however, as the Greyhounds broke the NCAA DII record for most rushing yards in a single game with 722 against Western New Mexico. Greyhound QB Jarius Stewart set a new high mark in the LSC for single-game rushing yards with 382 yards on 32 carries.
In order to slow down the rushing attack for the Greyhounds, the Hogs will need their defensive line to continue to play like their normal disruptive selves. Last week, Texas A&M-Kingsville racked up three sacks and six TFL's.
Doug Brooks especially filled up the stat sheet, racking up six total tackles, 1.5 sacks, a pass breakup and a blocked kick.
Kick-off for Saturday's matchup is set for 2:00 pm CST. Fans of the Javelinas can watch the game on FloCollege or follow the game at JavelinaFB on X.
