Volleyball Set To Host St. Edward’s In Non-Conference Tilt

Box Score KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team will continue its mid-season breather from Lone Star Conference play on Saturday when St. Edward's comes to Kingsville Hampton Inn Court for a 1 p.m. tilt sponsored by Big House Family Restaurants.
The Javelinas will look to snap a 2-game losing streak and move back over .500 on Saturday. The Hoggies are coming off a heart-breaking 5-set loss to St. Mary's on Tuesday. Kingsville led two games to none before faltering down the stretch.
Kayla McGlathery led four Kingsville players in double-digit kills with a career-high 15. Defensively, the Javelinas had 100 digs led by Brittany Gutierrez and Kelsey Washington with 23 and 20 digs, respectively. Sarah Fountain added a season-high 55 assists.
St. Edward's comes into the match with a 7-11 mark out of the Heartland Conference. The match will be the seventh of the season for the Javelinas against Heartland teams. The Hoggies are 2-4 against teams from the conference.

The Javelinas will remain home next week as Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M come to town.
