Kingsville - Already boasting a stacked signing class, the Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team added stellar incoming freshman outside hitter Alexiah Thompson to the mix.
The big-hitting 5'10 OH from Arizona comes to the Javelinas after playing three years of varsity ball for the Centennial HS Coyotes (5A) in Peoria, where she led the team to a 25-14 record.Â
"We are very excited to add Alexiah to an already talented incoming class," Head Coach
Tanya Allen-Gonzalez said. "She is a smart outside hitter with incredible ball control. She has experience playing against high level club competition, which I think will help her be successful in the LSC."
A stellar two-way player throughout her high school career, Thompson averaged 3.1 digs per set defensively, while putting up 3.6 kills per set on a .276 hitting percentage on the offensive side of the ball. Her 348 total kills were the 40th-most in the state of Arizona on MaxPreps.Â
