Tyler, TX - The Texas A&M University-Kingsville women's tennis team concluded their fall season at the ITA Regional Small College Championship with spectacular performances across three days of competition.
The Javelinas advanced multiple players deep into both singles and doubles draws, highlighted by
Andrea Landaeta's run to the singles quarterfinals in the main draw.
Another standout achievement came from
Annika Andersson Gomez and Landaeta, who advanced to the doubles consolation championship match.
The experience and success gained at regionals and throughout the season provides excellent momentum as the Javelinas look ahead to the spring season.

Andrea Landaeta
Sophomore Landaeta pulled off a stunning comeback against second-seeded Selina Wu (St. Mary's), winning 3-6, 7-5, [10-4].
Landaeta pulled out another thrilling victory in the round of 32, outlasting Alexia Garcia (Campbell University) 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, [10-8].
Landaeta advanced with a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory in the round of 16 over 16th-seeded Hailey Zhang (UT Tyler).
Landaeta fell to 10th-seeded Selin Sepken (Midwestern State) 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
Guadalupe Tocci
Sixth-seeded senior Tocci dominated her opening round match, defeating Mary June Quinn (Angelo State) 6-2, 6-1.
Tocci was in complete control, cruising past Kendall Curley (UT Dallas) 6-2, 6-0 in the round of 32.
In the quarterfinals Tocci battled through a thrilling three-set match but came up just short against Emilia Gyorgy (Midwestern State), losing 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
Lilly-Isabelle Muraske
Freshman Muraske, the tournament's 14th seed, cruised past Bella Hernandez (CSU Pueblo) 6-0, 6-0.
Muraske was pushed by Presley Churchman (UT Dallas) but displayed remarkable poise for a freshman in the round of 32, winning 7-5, 6-3.
Muraske fought hard in the quarterfinals against top-seeded Yona Bancarel (UT Tyler) but was eliminated 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 in a competitive three-set battle.
Maya Donkor
Graduate student Donkor lived up to her 15th seed, defeating Sierra Rodgers (Midwestern State) 6-4, 6-1.
Donker put up a strong fight but fell to Oshini Herath (Lubbock Christian) 6-3, 6-2 in the round of 32.
Annika Andersson Gomez
Senior Gomez advanced with a gutsy win over Sofia Valero (Lubbock Christian) 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), [10-8].
Gomez rallied in the second set but couldn't force a tiebreaker, falling to fourth-seeded Natalia Gorzny (UT Tyler) 6-1, 7-5.
Hannah Nagpall
Junior Nagpall forced a decisive third set against Maria Garcia Morales (Midwestern State) but came up short in the super tiebreaker, losing 6-2, 5-7, [10-4].
In the consolation round of 32, Nagpall bounced back in impressive fashion, defeating Margot Aebischer (CSU Pueblo) 6-1, 6-3.
In the consolation quarterfinals, Nagpall battled hard but fell to Hattie Berend (Midwestern State) 6-1, 6-1.
Emma Halvarsson
Freshman Halvarsson pushed Claudia Di Leonardo (Tyler) in the first set but ultimately fell 6-4, 6-2.
In the consolation round of 32, Halvarsson stayed composed after dropping the second set, securing the win 6-4, 1-6, [10-4].
Halvarsson earned a hard-fought win in the consolation round of 16 over Dinethya Dharmaratne (UTPB) 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).
Halvarsson fell to 12th-seeded Luisa Moraes (UT Tyler) in a thrilling super-tiebreaker 6-3, 3-6, [12-10].
Yasmin El Fadili
Senior El Fadili battled back in the second set but ultimately fell to Yelena Travica (CSU Pueblo) 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
El Fadili fought hard but fell to Alexa Irazabal (Lubbock Christian) 6-4, 6-2.
El Fadili bounced back with a gutsy super-tiebreaker victory over Peyton Jones (UTPB) 6-1, 3-6, [10-6].
Doubles
Gomez and Landaeta
Gomez and Landaeta came up short against a pairing from Lubbock Christian 8-5 in the round of 32.
Gomez and Landaeta rebounded quickly in the consolation round of 16, defeating a pair from conference rival Angelo State 8-5.
Gomez and Landaeta defeated a UT Dallas pair 8-2 in the consolation quarterfinals.
Gomez and Landaeta advanced to the consolation championship with an 8-4 victory over a UT Dallas duo.
In the consolation championship, Gomez and Landaeta run came to an end against a duo from Lubbock Christian 8-3.
Donkor and Muraske
Donkor and Muraske pulled away late in the round of 32 to defeat a duo from UT Dallas 8-5.
The veteran-freshman pair of Donkor and Muraske continued their dominance in the round of 16 as they cruised past Lubbock Christian 8-3.
Donkor and Muraske fell just short in the quarterfinals against the fourth-seeded duo from Midwestern State, losing 8-7 (7-4).
Kaitlin Blount and Tocci
In the opening round, the veteran pairing of redshirt junior Blount and Tocci edged a St. Mary's tandem late in an impressive victory 8-6.
Blount and Tocci battled hard before falling to the fifth-seeded Midwestern State duo in the round of 16 8-3.
Nagpall and Halvarsson
Nagpall and Halvarsson fell to the Midwestern State duo 8-3 in their opening doubles match.
