Tyler, TX - The Javelinas completed most of their weekend's competition on day two of the ITA Regional Championship, with several players advancing deep into their draws. The day featured competitive matches across multiple flights as players faced elite regional competition.

One doubles team, featuring sophomore Andrea Landaeta and senior Annika Andersson Gomez secured a spot in today's consolation championship match, giving the Hogs something significant to play for on the tournament's final day.

Women's Open Singles Main Draw Round of 16

Andrea Landaeta advanced with a commanding 6-3, 6-2 victory over 16th-seeded Hailey Zhang (UT Tyler).

Guadalupe Tocci battled through a thrilling three-set match but came up just short against Emilia Gyorgy (Midwestern State), losing 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 5-6.

14th-seeded Lilly-Isabelle Muraske fought hard against top-seeded Yona Bancarel (UT Tyler) but was eliminated 5-7, 6-1, 3-6 in a competitive three-set battle.

Landaeta fell to 10th-seeded Selin Sepken (Midwestern State) 6-3, 6-3 in the next round.

Yasmin El Fadili bounced back with a gutsy super-tiebreaker victory over Peyton Jones (UTPB) 6-1, 3-6, [10-6].

Emma Halvarsson earned a hard-fought win over Dinethya Dharmaratne (UTPB) 6-7 (7-4), 4-6.

Halvarsson fell to 12th-seeded Luisa Moraes (UT Tyler) in a thrilling super-tiebreaker 6-3, 3-6, [10-12].
