Javelinas release 2025 Volleyball schedule

Kingsville - The Texas A&M - Kingsville volleyball team has officially released its 2025 schedule, which includes 15 regular season home matches, and the brand-new Alumni All-Star match.

An exhibition contest set for August 27th at 6 p.m., the Alumni All-Star match will feature some of the greatest Javelinas in the program's history since Head Coach Tanya Allen Gonzalez has taken over the program. Allen Gonzalez is entering her 15th season at the helm for the Javelinas and has an impressive 239 wins in the blue and gold to her name, the most in program history.

Following their two exhibition matches (Aug.23 at Prairie View A&M and the All-Star match), the Javelinas will begin their regular season on the road at the Union University Tournament in Jackson, Tennessee, where they'll play four matches in two days (Sept. 5-6).

The next weekend, the crew will return to Kingsville for the Third Annual Javelina Volleyball Classic where it will face off with four teams in three days (Sept. 11-13), including the team's first recorded matchup against the Storm from Lake Erie. The team will then stay in the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center (SPEC) for the following weekend's LSC Challenge, where TAMUK will host its first Lone Star Conference foes of the season, Texas A&M - International (Sept.18) and Midwestern St. (Sept. 20).

Then it's off to Denton for a rare Tuesday match to begin the Javelinas' LSC schedule in earnest against Texas Woman's University (Sept. 23) before returning to the SPEC for weekend matches against West Texas A&M (Sept. 26) and Eastern New Mexico (Sept. 27).

The first true road trip of the conference schedule comes the next weekend when the Javelinas head to Alpine for a date with Sul Ross St. (Oct. 2) before heading across state lines to Silver City and a matchup with Western New Mexico (Oct. 4).

The team will then return to Kingsville and settle into a Friday-Saturday match schedule, beginning with contests against St. Edward's (Oct. 10) and St. Mary's (Oct. 11). Those will be followed by the Oklahoma road trip, which will see the team make a stop in Oklahoma City for a match against Oklahoma Christian (Oct. 17) before facing off against Cameron in Lawton (Oct. 18).

TAMUK will then return to Kingsville to play two of its final eight matches, five of which will be at home. Though the team's next match will be its second time playing against Midwestern St. (Oct. 24) this coming season, it will be the first time that the matchup will count toward the teams' Lone Star Conference records. The Javelinas will close that weekend with a match against Lubbock Christian (Oct. 25) the next day.

Their second and final Tuesday match of the year will again be a road contest, with (Oct. 28) the team set to head to Dallas for a date with Dallas Baptist. It will be followed by three straight home matches for the Hogs, the final three of the season. They will play TAMIU (Nov. 1) on a Saturday, before getting back to their Friday-Saturday routine with matches against UT-Tyler (Nov. 7) and LSC-newcomer UT-Dallas (Nov. 8) the next weekend.

The final two matches of the team's regular season will come on the road, as it heads west to face Angelo St. (Nov. 14) and UT-Permian Basin (Nov. 15). The Lone Star Conference Tournament will be played from Thursday to Saturday (Nov. 20-22) the following weekend and will be hosted by the conference's Regular Season Champ.
