Kingsville - As a culmination to a stellar career, Ayanna Jackson was named an All-American Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday.

The Senior from San Antonio has been selected to three total all-american teams by the AVCA, twice as an honorable mention (2024, 2023) and once as a member of the third team (2022). Jackson stands alone as the only Javelina to be selected to an All-American team multiple times.

Jackson has claimed numerous awards in her time with the Javelinas: a four time selection to an all-conference team for the Lone Star Conference, a three time selection to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association, a LSC defensive player of the year award winner and an LSC freshman of the year award winner.

This season, Jackson posted the fifth best hitting percentage, .428, among all players in division II. She also averaged 2.97 kills per set and was second in the LSC with 1.12 blocks per set.

Jackson's career with Texas A&M-Kingsivlle has placed her near the top of a plethora of Javelina volleyball records, her 483 career total blocks, which tie her with Ada Ihemelu ('99) for the second-most ever by a Javelina, stand out. As does her .337 career attack percentage - the second-highest by any Javelina over the course of a career in program history. She has also amassed 1722.5 points across her four years - the second-most in program history. Additionally, Jackson's 84 solo blocks are the third-most by any Javelina in a career.

Texas A&M-Kingsville has reached new heights with Ayanna Jacskon at the helm, reaching the LSC tournament three times. The 2023 season was the highlight of her time win the Javelinas, reaching the LSC tournament championship for the first time in program history and being selected the the NCAA Division II South-Central regional for the first time since 2016.
