Kingsville - Ayanna Jackson was named to the All South-Central Region second team by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association on Tuesday.

The Senior from San Antonio, Texas, was also named a first team all-conference selection for the Lone Star Conference. Her selection to the South-Central second team adds to an already extensive list of awards for the middle blocker.

Jackson posted the fifth best hitting percentage, .428, among all players in division II. She also averaged 2.97 kills per set and was second in the LSC with 1.12 blocks per set.

The selection to the D2CCA South-Central region second team adds to an extensive list of awards for Jackson, including her selection to the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American Third Team, the 2023 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention list, the 2022 AVCA All-South Central Region Team, and the 2023 AVCA All-South Central Team Honorable Mention.

Texas A&M-Kingsville has reached new heights with Ayanna Jacskon at the helm, reaching the LSC tournament three times. The 2023 season was the highlight of her time win the Javelinas, reaching the LSC tournament championship for the first time in program history and being selected the the NCAA Division II South-Central regional for the first time since 2016.
