Javelinas ride hot streak into Cameron matchup

Kingsville - Riding high after an upset win of No.23 DBU in its home opener, the Texas A&M - Kingsville women's tennis team is headed to Lawton, OK a day early for a Lone Star Conference matchup with Cameron.

The Javelinas have won seven of its last nine matches, which includes a 2-2 start in LSC play. That hot streak has seen the team climb in the ITA National DII rankings, reaching the top 50 for the first time this season last week, before jumping to No.43 in today's new rankings. They will now put their 1-3 road record to the test against the Aggies.

After a 3-3 start, Cameron has lost four straight matches, though the later three of those came on the road, and will now return home for the first time since March 17th to try and improve its 3-1 record.

First serve in the match is set for 2 p.m. on Thursday after forecasted inclement weather pushed the match up a day from its originally-scheduled Friday setup.
