Alpine - With a perfect, 7-0, sweep of Lone Star Conference newcomers Sul Ross St., the Texas A&M - Kingsville women's tennis increases its win streak to four matches, and improves to 1-0 in LSC play.
Kingsville got its win courtesy of a coveted golden match, in which no Javelina, in either singles or doubles play, lost a single game.
The Lobos fielded only two doubles teams, each of whom lost 6-0. A the No.1 spot, freshmen
Andrea Landaeta and
Annalena Noll got the win, while junior
Guadalupe Tocci and senior
Manuela Turolo did the same in the No.2 spot.
Singles ended in a similarly dominant fashion for TAMUK, with Tocci playing the No.1 spot, Noll playing the two, Landaeta the three, Turolo the four, junior
Annika Andersson Gomez the five, and junior
Kaitlin Blount the six. All six of them won 6-0, 6-0.Â
The Javelinas will be right back on the road for another LSC match tomorrow at noon, when they play the Rambelles of Angelo St. in San Angelo.
