Women’s tennis to play three matches in two days in Georgia

Kingsville - The Texas A&M - Kingsville women's tennis team continues their long season-opening road trip with three matches in under 30 hours in Milledgeville, GA.

The first of the Javelinas' matches has first serve set for 1 p.m. central against their weekend's host, Georgia State and College. The other two matches will be one after another on Saturday, and will also be played on Georgia C&S's campus - 11 a.m. against Emmanuel and 4 p.m. against Augusta.

"Our ladies are looking to get better with each match," Head Coach Autumn Wollenzien said. "That's always been the goal, this week is no different. We want to focus on our side of the court, playing well and improve where we can."

Kingsville has started the year 1-2 after a pair of road losses when they played highly-ranked opponents in Kansas last weekend. Including this weekend, the team still has seven matches standing between it and its home opener.

GCS has, amazingly, played just three of the four matches originally scheduled for this point in the season, with the other two being postponed. The Bobcats have gone 2-1 in the two matches they've played this year. Emmanuel is on a similar road trip to the Javelinas, having played just once at home this season - the Lions have started their year 1-4. Augusta has jumped out to a 4-1 start to its year and rides a three game win streak into the weekend.
