Kingsville - Texas A&M University-Kingsville women's tennis reached new heights after an impressive fall campaign, with four Javelinas earning spots in the ITA Fall Regional Rankings.
For the first time in program history, the blue and gold have three singles players ranked in the fall ITA Regional Rankings. Leading the way for the Javelinas is sophomore Andrea Landaeta at No. 7. Landaeta's ranking comes on the heels of a stellar performance at the ITA Regional Small College Championship, where she upset seeded opponents en route to a quarterfinal appearance in the main draw.
Senior Guadalupe Tocci claimed the No. 9 spot in her final season in Kingsville. Tocci advanced to the round of 16 at the Small College Championship, showcasing the veteran leadership that has defined her career.
Rounding out the trio is freshman Lilly-Isabelle Muraske at No. 11. Muraske defeated seeded competition on her way to the round of 16 at the ITA Regional, announcing her arrival on the regional stage.Â
In doubles, graduate student Maya Donkor and Muraske earned the No. 5 ranking in the South Central Region after reaching the quarterfinals in the Small College Championship. The ranking marks the program's highest doubles placement since 2021.
This marks the 11th consecutive year that at least one Javelina has been represented in the ITA Fall Regional Rankings, a testament to the program's sustained excellence.
