KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day as they hosted the UT Permian Basin Falcons for their final home match of the season in a dominating victory, 7-0.
The Javelinas (9-8, 3-5 LSC) get back above .500 overall and still have the chance to finish .500 in the conference with two more matches to play. The Falcons (8-13, 3-4 LSC) drop their third match in their last four.

Starting doubles play, the Hogs were already red hot, sweeping all three contests.
Ella Hester and
Annika Andersson Gomez took less than 30 minutes to grab the first win of the day for the team on Court 2, 6-2.
Luna Jokanovic and
Manuela Turolo followed suit 20 minutes later on Court 3, 6-4.
The No. 17 duo of Maier and Ter Morsche fended off a fierce upset attempt from their opponents on Court 1, 7-5. The two's win streak in doubles stretches to eight wins while their most recent national ranking of 17 is the highest in Javelina history for a doubles pair.
The Javelinas did not let up on the singles courts, taking all six matches without dropping a single set for a complete sweep of the Falcons. National No. 6 Maier continued her dominance with her 11th win in a row, recording a commanding 6-1, 6-2 win on Court 1. Fellow senior Ter Morsche followed up shortly after on Court 4 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory of her own.
Jokanovic and Turolo finished back-to-back on Courts 3 and 2. Jokanovic cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win while Turolo pulled away in both sets for a 6-4, 6-3 victory.Â
Gomez and
Raina Zaffar completed the total sweep on Courts 5 and 6. After a hotly contested first set where Gomez came from behind in the tiebreaker to win, 7-6, she dominated set two in a shutout to take the win, 6-0. Zaffar battled in both sets but took control at the end of both with a pair of 6-4 set wins for the victory.

The Javelinas close out the regular season schedule on the road, taking on a pair of Patriots in Dallas Baptist and UT Tyler. First up is the matchup with DBU on Friday, April 19 followed by UT Tyler on Saturday with both matches slated for 11 a.m.
