Women's Tennis travels to Georgia to take on Emmanuel and Georgia College

The Hogs get ready for their first official matchups of the Spring 2024 season

KINGSVILLE, Texas – After an exhibition last week against TAMU-Corpus Christi, the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's tennis team is ready to officially kick off the 2024 Spring season as they head to Milledgeville, GA to take on Emmanuel University and Georgia College.
 
The matchups will be the first time that the Javelinas have ever taken on Emmanuel but it will be the third meeting between TAMUK and Georgia College.
 
Leading the way for the squad will be Alessa Maier. Maier is currently No. 1 in the South Central region and No. 10 in the nation. Manuela Turolo also claims in spot in the regional rankings at No. 15
 
In doubles, the team of Annika Andersson Gomez and Ella Hester currently sits at No. 6 in the region.
 
The Javelinas take on Emmanuel first on Friday, Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. CT before facing off against Georgia College the day after, Feb. 10. The matchup against Georgia College was originally scheduled for 1 p.m. CT but was moved up due to weather and will now be played at 10 a.m. CT.
