LAWTON, Okla. - The Javelina women's tennis team fell to Lone Star Conference opponent Cameron on the road Thursday, 5-2.
The Aggies earned the doubles point taking the No. 1 and 3 matches, but Alessa Maier and Milou Ter Morsche took a 6-4 decision at No. 2 taking the last two games for the pair's first win in LSC competition this season.
In the singles, Alessa Maier narrowly fell at No. 1, 3-6, 7-6, 13-11. At No. 3, Manuela Turolo bounced back from a 2-6 first set loss, winning her match in three sets, 2-6, 7-5, 10-8.
Annika Andersson Gomez got her second match win of LSC play at No. 5 winning 6-3, 4-6, 13-11.
However, the Aggies got the three singles wins they needed to clinch the 5-2 win over TAMUK.
