Greenville, S. C.— The Division II Conference Commissioners Association released the 2022 NCAA Division II Volleyball All-America teams on Thursday, with Texas A&M-Kingsville senior Nicole Murff cracking the first team as the top libero in the country. 
 
Murff was named honorable mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association earlier in the week, making her the first Javelina since Lexi Wick to be named All-America by multiple organizations. Additionally, Murff is the only Javelina in the 16-year history of the program to be named to the D2CCA first team. 
 
The San Antonio native exits TAMUK with not only the pair of All-America honors but was named 2022 Lone Star Conference Libero of the Year was a three-time First Team All-LSC Selection and was the recipient of the 2022 LSC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year award. 
 
Murff delivered a stellar season that saw her average 5.42 digs per set, the most in the LSC and the ninth-best total in the nation. Additionally, Murff wrapped up the regular season seventh across DII with 607 total digs in 2022. 
 
As a part of the release, Alaska Anchorage outside hitter Eve Stephens was named Ron Lenz Player of the Year, and Murff represented the lone LSC member to make the first team. In addition to Murff, UT Tyler outside hitter Mikayla Ware was selected to the third team.
