INDIANAPOLIS — On Wednesday, the NCAA released its first batch of regional rankings, with the Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team being recognized as under consideration for the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament.

The Javelinas have complied a 16-8 record with 15 regional wins, including a pair of five-win spurts. Additionally, TAMUK has gone 8-3 in Lone Star Conference play and a perfect 6-0 inside the Steinke Physical Education Center.Â

Along with TAMUK, four other LSC programs made the cut, including DBU, West Texas A&M, UT Tyler, and Texas A&M International. Additionally, MSU-Denver, Colorado Mesa, Regis, and CSU-Pueblo were listed out of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.Â

This week, the Javelinas take on Midwestern State in a Friday night Pink Out contest at 6 p.m. in Kingsville, Texas, before hosting Texas Woman's on Saturday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.
