KINGSVILLE, Texas (Baseball) – #RV Texas A&M University-Kingsville (26-20) steps away from Lone Star Conference action for the final time this season to take on South Central Region opponent and No. 11/28 St. Mary's University (32-12) on April 28 at 6 p.m. at Nolan Ryan Field.
The game was originally scheduled for March 10 but weather forced the postponement. In the initial NCAA regional rankings, the Javelinas are No. 6 and the Rattlers are No. 8. The top six teams in the region advance to the South Central Region tournament, hosted by the top team in the region, which is currently No. 1 overall Colorado Mesa.

Cline Andrews is hitting .355 this season with 11 doubles, five triples, 32 RBI and five stolen bases.
Brayton Carlson and
Clint Wallace are also over the .300-plateau and have a combined 16 stolen bases.
For the Rattlers, Brooks Orton is batting .379 with three home runs, 36 RBI and is a perfect 15-for-15 on stolen base opportunities. As a team, StMU is hitting .303 and has an on-base percentage of .383, one of the best percentages in the nation.
Inside the SeriesThe Javelinas earned a win the last time these two teams met in Kingsville, 10-4. Earlier this season, then No. 20/27 StMU and TAMUK went 13 innings before the Rattlers narrowly escaped Dickson Stadium with a victory, 9-8. St. Mary's leads the all-time series, 48-25-1.
