Biography

2015 (R-Sr.): All-Lone Star Conference first team catcher after hitting .320 with a team-best 15 doubles behind the plate… also tallied 20 runs, a home run, 30 RBI and six stolen bases… threw out 10 baserunners and picked off three… appeared in 50 games, starting 48, 47 of them as the second half of the battery… 16 multi-hit games… grand slam in win at Eastern New Mexico (April 18)… drove in three in a two-hit performance in final game versus Texas College (Feb. 21)… two seven-game hit streaks in 2015.
 
2014 (R-Jr.): Named to Lone Star Conference Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll… saw action in 56 games, starting 53 behind the dish and at DH… collected 10 extra-base hits, including four home runs and drove in 16… went 1-for-4 with an RBI-single in season debut (Feb. 1) and followed with his first multi-hit game of the season and seventh of career, going 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI in win over Houston-Victoria… 2-for-3 with two runs scored, home run, double, walk and three RBI versus West Texas A&M (Feb. 28)… two-run double in game one against Cameron and blasted second home run in game two (March 7)… finished second game vs. Aggies with three runs scored and two hits, including solo shot… 2-for-3 with an RBI single in win over Eastern New Mexico (March 15)… 1-for-3 with three RBI against WT (April 4)… went a career best 4-for-5 with three runs scored in win over Greyhounds (April 18)… the next day, totaled two hits in as many plate appearances… back-to-back solo shots in NCAA South Central Regional Tournament bouts against West Texas A&M (May 16) and Tarleton State (May 16)… concluded season with seven multi-hit games, six multi-RBI contests.
 
2013 (R-So.): Played in 31 games, starting 22… made 19 starts behind the plate and three as the designated hitter… batted .307 with 10 RBI, four doubles, two triples and scored 13 runs… .416 on-base percentage… posted six two-hit games… drove in two-plus three times… went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and two runs scored in win over Abilene Christian (Feb. 4)… 2-for-4 from the plate versus Southeastern Oklahoma (Feb. 9)… followed with an RBI triple against St. Mary’s (Feb. 12)… reached base safely three times (two doubles) vs. Houston-Victoria (Feb. 22)… scored six runs in doubleheader sweep against Fisher College (March 9)… 2-for-4 with two RBI in second game vs. Fisher (March 10)… bases clearing, pinch-hit triple against LSC-foe Cameron (April 7)… 2-for-5 with two RBI vs. Angelo State (May 6)… finished season with back-to-back two-hit performances against St. Edward’s (May 18-19).
 
2012 (So.): Redshirted, retaining sophomore eligibility.

Paris JC: Appeared in 32 total games in his lone season (2011).
 
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi… first-team all-district selection as a catcher… named a Hooks Preseason All-Star before his senior season (2010)… earned district Newcomer of the Year as a freshman (2006).
 
Personal: Son of Gary and Carla Wallace… has a brother, James… James was a member of the Javelina baseball team from 2012-13 and student assistant during the 2014 season… majoring in criminology.
