BROWNWOOD, Texas (Tennis) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (0-2) tennis returns to the courts for two matches in three days, beginning on Valentine's Day at Howard Payne University (0-0) at 11 a.m. and future Lone Star Conference member, the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (2-0) on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m.

The Javelinas are searching for their first win of the season after close contests versus NCAA Division I members University of Texas-Pan American and Prairie View A&M University. HPU begins its season on Friday, Feb. 13 against LeTourneau University at the Nabers Tennis Center. UTPB is a perfect 2-0 and ranked No. 10 in the South Central Region.

The Javelinas are 1-2 all-time versus the Falcons and nearly defeated Permian Basin last season before falling, 5-4.

Mariaxi Herrera,
Marija Dimitrovska and
Nadia Grlj are 1-1 on the year. In doubles action, Herrera and Dimitrovska earned a victory in No. 1.
