SCOUTING TARLETON STATE
TRYING TO TURN AROUND 0-4 START
Since Tarleton became a senior college in 1961, the Texans have gone through 12 different 0-4 starts to a season including this season. There have three such starts as an NCAA institution (1998, 2010, 2015). Of the 11 previous skids, Tarleton has stopped four of them at 0-4 by earning a win in game five.

AMONG THE NATIONAL LEADERS
• Tarleton is 19th in the nation in third down conversion percentage with 47.5%.
• Tarleton is 13th in net punting at 38.9 yards per punt this season.
• Tarleton boasts the No. 19-ranked passing completion percentage (.631) in the nation.

Three quarterbacks have seen action for TSU, with Zed Woerner (84-of-128, six touchdowns) leading the way. Tarleton is coming off consecutive losses to nationally-ranked LSC opponents Midwestern State and A&M-Commerce. In the game versus the Lions, the Texans could not find the endzone and fell, 63-0.

#Javelinastrong
Throughout the season, the Javelinas will use the hashtag #JavelinaSTRONG to promote all 14 of their athletic programs. We encourage our fans to join us in a positive manner by using the hashtag throughout the 2015-16 campaign.

Weekly Captains
This year head coach Daren Wilkinson has elected to go with different team captains each week. This is the second time in the past couple of years that this system will be used, rather than have captains selected for the entire season.
