SOUTHLAKE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's tennis team competed at the Lone Star Conference Tennis Championship and fell to top-seeded Midwestern State on Saturday with a score of 5-1.
The sole point for the Javelinas was scored in doubles competition when
Tabata Lua and her partner,
Eleni Anastasova, bested Lauren Pineda and Amy Clifton with a score of 8-6 at No. 2.
At No. 1, Midwestern's Kayla Casey and her partner, Taylor Coffman defeated
Mariaxi Herrera and
Marija Dimitrovska with a score of 8-3. Courtney Anderson and Paige Boykin of Midwestern defeated Alex Carrillo and, her partner, Alex Olguin at No. 3, 8-0.
The Javelinas end their season 0-3 in conference and 3-13, overall.
