KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball team steps out of conference Tuesday night as the Javelinas play host to No. 13 St. Mary's at 6 p.m. at Nolan Ryan Field.
All tickets for the game will be $1 as part of Dollar Days sponsored by flower girls.
The Javelinas are coming off a weekend in which they took 3-of-4 games from Tarleton State. St. Mary's enters with a 23-10 mark. The Rattlers dropped two games over the weekend to Lubbock Christian in a Heartland Conference series.
The meeting is the second of the season between the two sides. Kingsville knocked off St. Mary's 12-3 on March 11 in San Antonio.
Ryan Guedry, who leads the Hoggies with a .347 average on the year, finished 3-of-4 with three RBI.
Matt Perez and
Dustin Aguilar each had two RBI in the contest.
Cody Williams claimed the win for the Javelinas tossing five scoreless innings. He scattered four hits and fanned three.
St. Mary's was led by Scott Jones with two hits. Greg Dobb suffered the loss allowing three runs on four hits in 3-1/3 innings. On the year, Joe Hermsen and Nathan Humpal lead the Rattlers with matching .357 averages.
