In the fifth, Wallace picked up his second RBI of the opener with a hit through the left side to knock in Frazier. Frazier had singled and stole second.
Tarleton State had its best opportunity in the sixth loading the bases off
Denver Diefenbach, who allowed three hits in his first five innings. The Javelinas limited the visitors to just one run as
Hayden James came out of the bullpen striking out Noel Nevarez and Nick Gilbert popped up in foul territory to Wallace.

While TSU threatened in the second and third innings, Williams didn't allow another run in a strong outing. He scattered seven hits, fanned two and did not walk a batter.
Meanwhile, the Texans' Robert Baker kept Kingsville from getting going offensively. He limited Kingsville to four hits, walked one and had five Ks to move to 4-4.
The Javelinas had their best chances in the third, fourth, sixth and seventh innings as the lead-off hitter reached all three frames.
With one out in the third, Aguilar singled, but would be thrown at second after making a wide turn on Wall's single. In the fourth, Black singled and went to second on a sacrifice bunt for the first out but would be left at third.
