BISHOP, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville tennis team lost a 7-2 decision to No. 35 Cameron on Sunday at the Bishop High School Tennis Courts.

The two wins for the Javelinas came in a doubles and a singles match involving
Mariaxi Herrera.

At No. 1, Herrera and her partner,
Marija Dimitrovska bested Paula Gutierrez-Casas and Florencia Tornero with a score of 8-2. Again at No. 1, Herrera faced Angie Torres and took two sets, 6-2 and 6-4.

Marija Dimitrovska went three sets at No. 2 to Paula Gutierrez-Casas. Dimitrovska won the first set 6-0 and dropped the second, 6-3. She fought hard the third set but fell 10-6.

Kingsville is now 1-8 for the season, while Cameron is 10-0.
